What to Expect During Screening
Registration & Consent
You'll check in at our center and complete a brief medical history form. For minors, a parent or guardian must be present. The entire process takes about 20-30 minutes.
Ishihara Plate Test
You'll look at a series of colored dot patterns and identify numbers or shapes. This is the most common screening method and takes about 5 minutes. Don't worry if you struggle - that's normal for people with CVD.
Additional Tests (If Needed)
For comprehensive testing, we may conduct arrangement tests where you organize colored chips by hue. This helps determine the type and severity of color vision deficiency.
Results & Counseling
Our counselor will explain your results, answer questions, and provide resources. If you have CVD, we'll discuss practical strategies and connect you with support services - all free of charge.
